Accidentally had my camera set on Monochrome but thought I'd ride with it and share a few of the results.

NIKON D3100
I've only just bought this beautiful bit of kit, so any easy to follow hot tips for hot shots appreciated. I am an absolute beginner so treat me like your parents with a new mobile phone.

HOVER FLY (Flower Fly)
The size of hoverflies varies depending on the species - some are small, elongate and slender while others are large, hairy, yellow and black. All hoverflies have a single functional pair of wings (the hindwings are reduced to balancing organs). They are brightly coloured with spots, stripes and bands of yellow or brown covering their bodies. Hoverflies are harmless.
